| Tribological laboratory |
 |
Early 2008, EPIC Polymers installed a tribological laboratory in the customer
and innovation centre in Kaiserlautern. This allows us to perform specific analysis
of the wear and friction performance of our materials under varying load,
temperature and velocity conditions. |
 |
Besides basic R&D for new tribological systems, we are able to perform cus-
tomer specific testing according to DIN/ISO standards. The data generated by our
tribological laboratory allow a fast expansion of our current material database. |

The unique EPIC Polymers material database contains data for mechanical
calculations compatible with most current software programmes. |
 |
Besides data for static short term calculations, we also have long term data,
dynamical data and high speed load data available.
Flow data for flow simulation are also available. |
 |
For strategic application areas, EPIC Polymers is able to provide CAD support
(mechanical calculations and flow calculations), as well as providing support for
tool lay out. |
