TRIBOCOMP® - TRIBOLOGICAL ADDITIVE SYSTEMS |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Tribology (the science of interacting surfaces in relative motion) is an except-
ionally complicated field, since the tribological performance of a system is
dependent on material properties, material combinations and external factors such
as surface pressure, relative speed, surface roughness and temperature. |
 |
EPIC Polymers has extensive experience in the field of tribology of plastics
and has developed a broad range of tribological additive systems for different
materials and operating conditions. These TS systems are well established in all
major market areas. |
 |
| The overview below gives a rough guide to the different systems |
 |
TS 0 good overall wear and friction properties
TS 1 low friction, improved wear
TS 2 low wear and low friction
TS 3 low friction and extremely low, excellent fatigue resistance
TS 4 very low friction and wear, high load bearing capability
TS 5 low wear of counterface
TS 6 low noise
TS 7 low friction
TS 8 low wear of counterface, high friction
TS 9 high temperature lubricant
TS 10 bearing grade
TS 11 excellent wear and friction in oil and water
TS 12 special lubrication for gear wheels
TS 13 low noise, low friction, excellent surface finish
TS 14 low plastic-on-plastic wear
TS 15 high surface hardness, low friction
TS 16 low slip stick
TS 17 low friction, optimized for noise reduction
TS 18 very low wear and friction, optimized for low noise and low slip-stick
The systems outlined above can be used in any base polymer |
